Dr. Randall Valentine is a forensic finance expert, economist, and founder of Valentine Forensic Finance, providing economic and financial analysis, litigation support, and expert witness testimony in complex financial matters. His work includes personal injury and wrongful death economic damages, wrongful termination claims, financial disputes, cryptocurrency asset valuation and fraud investigations, and credit damage.

With extensive academic training in finance, financial technology, and artificial intelligence, Dr. Valentine combines established forensic economic methodologies with advanced financial analysis to develop clear, credible, and well-supported opinions. He works closely with attorneys to evaluate financial evidence, calculate economic losses, analyze complex transactions, and translate highly technical financial issues into understandable conclusions for judges and juries.

A significant area of Dr. Valentine’s practice involves cryptocurrency and blockchain analysis. He investigates cryptocurrency fraud, traces transactions and fund flows through blockchain analysis, and evaluates cryptocurrency assets and mining operations. His work also includes historical cryptocurrency valuations, wallet analysis, asset tracing in divorce and other financial disputes, and assistance with locating, verifying, and recovering lost digital assets.

As an expert witness, Dr. Valentine provides economic damages assessments in personal injury, wrongful death, and wrongful termination matters, as well as other cases involving disputed financial losses. His analyses are grounded in accepted economic principles, relevant financial data, and peer-reviewed research, with an emphasis on producing objective findings that can withstand scrutiny in litigation and cross-examination.

Dr. Valentine earned his Ph.D. in Finance from Mississippi State University, where he also received an M.S. in Finance and Statistics. He holds a B.S. in Finance from Arkansas State University and graduate certificates in FinTech and Artificial Intelligence from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

In addition to his consulting and expert witness work, Dr. Valentine is active in academic business research. He leads the Academy of Business Research, an international organization with more than 1,000 members across 35 countries. His research has received national and international attention. His work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, CNN, and USA Today, among other media outlets, and has contributed to international public policy discussions.

Dr. Valentine’s professional affiliations include the Academy of Business Research, the Collegium of Pecuniary Damages Experts, and the National Association of Forensic Economics. He has also held academic leadership roles, including serving as an Institutional Review Board Chair and as a committee chair for the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
